Search Engine Advertising
Search engine advertising, or SEA, is paid content that highlights your business in a search engine such as Google or Bing. Search engine advertising is a type of Search Engine Marketing (SEM), which is a collective term for all types of marketing activities related to search engines.
How does it work?
Unlike search engine optimization, with search engine advertising you pay for your placement in the search results. The most popular option today is to advertise through Google Ads (previously known as Adwords).
With Google Ads, you can set your desired budget, but the cost of the campaign will be based on what keywords and phrases you want your ad to show up for in the search results. Google Ads is based on an auction-style process, making you bid on one or more keywords that you want to show up for in the search engine. The advertisement may be displayed either at the top of the search results or at the bottom of the results depending on how much you bid for the specific search phrase. Search engine advertising does not affect the organic search result, and you will only pay for your ad when someone actually clicks on it.
Text Ad
There are multiple types of advertisements available with Google Ads, but the most common type is text ads. Text ads are displayed above and below the search results. With your Google Ads account, you will be able to customize the content of your ads, such as the headlines and descriptions.
